Immediate and Necessary Care Appointments
Appointments may be made by phoning the surgery on 01361 885 030 from 8.00am onward. These appointments are available daily and are limited. They should only be requested for new problems that have recently arisen and you feel need to be seen urgently. These appointments are shorter and we will only have time to deal with your urgent problem. You will be offered either a phone appointment or a face to face appointment with an available GP/Clinician in the first instance and not a GP of choice. Please ensure you call the surgery and do not walk in and wait to be seen.
You may be asked to come back for a routine appointment if the problem is not thought to be appropriately urgent.

If you require urgent medical advice or attention out of hours, please telephone NHS24 on 111.
If it is an emergency please call 999.
Routine Care Appointments
Routine care appointments are available with all GPs these can be booked in advance and can be made with the GP of your choice. These can be either face to face or via telephone.
If the Doctor asks you to come back for a review, please ensure you make this review appointment before leaving the surgery. It is important that you try to ensure you see the same Doctor for an ongoing medical problem. This helps us to provide better continuity of care for our patients. Please note that it is standard practice to wait 4-6 weeks for a routine care appointment.
All Appointments
We operate a mixed model of face to face appointments, eConsults and telephone appointments. All appointments can be arranged by phoning 01361 885 030. When arranging a telephone appointment please ensure that you do not use a system that blocks ‘withheld numbers’. For confidentiality reasons please ensure you leave a correct contact number with our receptionists
eConsult
eConsult can be accessed via our website on your computer, mobile or tablet device. This will allow you to get help or advice from your GP online and receive a response by the end of the next working day. This means no more time wasted queuing on the phone or sitting in the waiting area for your appointment.
Home Visits
House visits are at the discretion of the Doctor and are usually restricted to patients who are genuinely housebound or unable to come to the Practice due to illness. The Duty Doctor will phone the patient first to gain more information about the illness prior to visiting. Patients should call before 10.00am.
In most circumstances, attending an appointment at the surgery is the best option for patients and for the Practice staff. There are better facilities for examining and treating patients who are seen within the practice. Attending a surgery allows our clinical team to see more patients in a day than if we are undertaking home visits. A doctor could see 4-6 other equally unwell patients in the time it takes for a home visit.
